OH LOOK… IT’S A BIGGER, HOTTER SEAT!

I can’t resist the urge, so here goes… “just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!” 🙂 It seems I was presumptuous with my earlier post thinking my time at the Professional Photographers of California was winding down. I’m a bit surprised to find myself in the roll of Expo and Conference Manager for PPC’s 2014 event. Talk about frying pan into the fire. I gladly accept the challenge, and it will be a huge one with giant (metaphorical) shoes to fill, as the prior manager did such a truly spectacular job and will be a tough, tough act to follow.

Still, I’m happy not to fade away into that good night as I think organizations like the Professional Photographers of California are important to the industry that I enjoy so much and it’s my time there has been a pleasure on so many levels that it’s hard to verbalize. Not to say that it wasn’t without struggle, drama, difficult discussions and decisions and a wide variety of soaring highs and disappointing lows, but if it weren’t for the tough times, I don’t think we’d be able to truly appreciate the great times. And there were great, great times. It’s good to be back. 🙂
